The Clarkston Conservatory of Music is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to bringing the joys and benefits of music to the people of Oakland County and Clarkston Michigan.

We currently offer instruction in piano, voice, guitar, violin, flute and classes in Kindermusik for young children. While instrumental and vocal instruction is our primary focus, we intend as well to create a concert series featuring the finest musicians the area can offer.

The Conservatory was founded in 1961 by Ivan Rouse and continues now under Dr. James Wilhelmsen. It is housed in one of the oldest buildings (built sometime around 1840) in the Historic District of Clarkston.

Ivan Rouse's goal, to provide "music instruction with the highest artistic standards", continues unchanged today.
